Bristol Disability Equality Forum AGM
Welcome!
Please join us for our AGM, which will now be at the MShed on the 30th November 2019, from 1pm to 4pm. We have exciting plans and would love to tell you about them!
The Forum’s AGM is an opportunity for all our members, those who work, support, fund or partner with us, and Deaf/Disabled people across the Bristol area to hear about:
- the work we’ve been doing and our plans for the future;
- new trustees elected by our members, and co-optees; plus
- this year’s winner of the Rowen Jade Award.
There will also be a brief section on the formal business that all charities need to do.
We are combining our AGM with our Disability History Month event on this year’s theme of ‘Leadership, Resistance and Culture’. Our speakers will talk about:
a. the Disabled people’s movement since the 1970’s
b. what it acheived,
c. what has been reversed, since 2010, and
d. what it needs to be doing next.
There will be a short break between the AGM and the Disability History Month event for networking, connecting, and refreshments.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an hearing (induction)loop. We will also be providing BSL interpreters.
If you have other, specific access needs, please call 01179 140528 or email bristoldef@gmail.com
